How do you decide which crane type suits me?

We start from four figures: the heaviest load to be handled, the span of the facility, the hook height needed and the daily duty cycle. If the roof can carry load, an overhead crane comes forward; if it cannot, or you are working in an open yard, a gantry crane does. Where work happens around a single machine, a jib crane is usually the more accurate and economical answer.

Should I choose single or double girder?

The deciding factor is not capacity but hook height and duty cycle. On a single girder the trolley hangs beneath the beam, so the hook cannot pass the underside; on a double girder the trolley sits on top and the hook rises to girder level. If your headroom is critical or the crane will run intensively all day, double girder comes forward. At light and medium capacities with a low duty cycle, single girder is both lighter and more economical.

What does duty class (FEM) mean and why does it matter?

Duty class defines how many cycles a crane will run over its life and how much of the rated load it carries in those cycles. Two cranes of the same tonnage cannot be built alike if one makes three lifts a day and the other three hundred. Choose the class too low and the equipment fatigues early; too high and you pay for capacity you do not use. That is why, alongside tonnage, we ask for the daily number of lifts and the average load ratio.

Can a crane be installed in my existing building?

Usually yes, but the load-bearing capacity of the structure must be checked first. An overhead crane transfers load into the columns and roof; if the existing structure cannot take it, either reinforcement is needed or the design moves to a gantry or semi-gantry that carries the load to the floor. Once we have the measurements and structural information, we say clearly which option fits.

Is periodic inspection of cranes mandatory?

In Türkiye, lifting and conveying equipment is subject to periodic inspection under the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment. Who performs the inspection and at what intervals is defined in that legislation, and responsibility rests with the employer. We set the post-installation maintenance plan in line with this obligation and keep the maintenance records.

What is the delivery time?

Lead time depends on the crane type, capacity and whether special equipment is required. A single girder overhead crane with standard equipment and an ATEX certified or ladle handling system cannot be produced in the same time. Once dimensions and load case are settled, we share the production and installation schedule in writing.

Do you carry out installation and commissioning?

Yes. Installation, commissioning, operator briefing and the subsequent periodic maintenance are carried out by our own team. Spare-part support also comes from us. Because the manufacturer and the service provider are the same company, responsibility is not divided when a fault occurs.

How do the delivery time and installation process work?

The process begins with taking measurements and the load case; the calculation follows and the scope is shared in writing. Production starts after approval. Lead time depends on crane type, capacity and whether special equipment is required — a single girder overhead crane with standard equipment and an ATEX certified or ladle handling system cannot be produced in the same time. The installation schedule is planned separately according to whether the facility must stop production; installation in a working plant is organised differently from an empty building.
